so, this right here? this is one of the absolutely most lawless, brazenly unconstitutional impeachable offenses ever committed by any president other than trump in the history of our country.

like, this is an open and shut case. and it's a case which targeted *republicans.*
This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

Cried at the Will Byers thing in S5. Extremely cool (I hope).

My friends and I used to walk around new build construction sites (when they were empty and unmanned) pretending we were interior designers. Looking back I now appreciate that weak scaffolding, or just random things falling on my head, was a real danger. Fun though it was.

When a story is really interesting but the writing doesn’t pull you in. This is very subjective, of course. The detail they’ve gone for isn’t the detail I want to know about. DNF at 54% in. 😢

(I won’t say the title as I don’t want to put anyone off reading it. Just annoyed as I wanted to love it.)

Death by Lightning. Ended up looking into the mentioned US presidents - so also prompted something educational.

Really nice character casting across the board which is very pleasing.

That doctor though. 😖.

Watched new season of The Diplomat way too fast. Again. I rolled my eyes when Josh appeared but then it worked out fine. Not sure about the begging scene but sure. Do I still think it’s excellent? Yes.

Why are there rules that British mortgage holders cannot pay off as much as they want over the agreed monthly payments? Why are they limited to a certain percentage every year and then penalised if they pay off more ? Why are they being controlled and kept in a state of debt.

Yes, we know why.

Bought 5 books today and have 3 ARCs to read. Thinking Agatha Christie or Salman Rushdie…or there’s a book about British Museum shenanigans, and another about a pencil company. Decisions.

A house with a horrific past. An event tears a neighbourhood apart. A few survivors try to unravel brutal deaths and disappearances. No one really believes in a human killer when there’s a space between the walls that calls their names. ARC courtesy of Penguin Random House.

Recommend.

He was 27? WTF. I was looking out the window at trees at 27.
Anyhhooo, this is really good. Yes the movie is perfect. Which is a relief given the making of it was a traumatic experience for the director and I’m guessing some others. Last 20 seconds made me cry. Only Spiels.

Is there a young actor working today with the vibe of young James Spader? Thinking Pretty in Pink. Confident, sharp, unpredictable energy. There must be but I haven’t seen them yet.
