We live on an acre of rewilded land in the west of Ireland. I love nature the sea & boats. I detest all destruction of nature & animal cruelty.
I hope so. Until that day we must forge onwards! 💚

That's true, just that there's a thin strip of access to the land at the top of our driveway, it's barely wide enough for a car and gets thinner before reaching the plot. I worry about that bit.
Oh he's a mini orange horror...if you know what I mean 🍊😝

Well, he's probably in his 60s but not likely to pop off any time soon! His ex says his solicitors are like rottweilers and will stop at nothing to get what they want. Which is actually rather scary!

Trouble is, the land is part of our land, no fence. Plus, it used to belong to my parents & has our fruit trees on it, bought with wedding gift money.
Owner, Mr Nasty is now desperately trying to get planning permission to build on it, even though theres no access...

I've no idea what type my mum's scythe is, except it looks alarmingly big and heavy! I'm still trying to buy that plot to create my meadow. I'm beginning to loose hope now.

Hats off to your husband, Cath. I have my mum's scythe but haven't used it yet. I remember my grandfather making scything looking easy but I know it's not!

I definitely will do 😊💚

Thank you Cath. I usually snip my grass with scissors, while fretting, apologising and moving things. Of course it takes ages. I'd better get started! I'll leave plenty as well of course.

When is the best time to cut the grass, Cath? It's so full of life all year round every time seems seems to be the wrong time. Yet I know it has to be cut once a year.

I'm part of a small environmental group here. Someone messaged to say that they were walking through the woods with their small daughter. Behind them was a man with a (😝) leafblower noisily clearing the path claiming concern it might be slippy.
Honestly Cath, words fail me!

I hope that children still enjoy kicking through the leaves, Cath. I worry that they actually prefer being glued to a screen, or that the leaves they should be kicking through have been blasted by a (urrgh 😝) hideous leaf blower.
But I do hope I'm wrong!
