So you're telling me Trump abandons Ukraine, courts Putin, is about to start a war with Iran, and frees Tsikhanouski? What 4D chess is this
Several figures in the Belarusian opposition, including opposition leader Siarhei Tsikhanouski, were freed from jail today under a deal brokered US special envoy Keith Kellogg.

For every single lie Trump tells in his first week, I, personally, pledge one euro to fund journalism that brings Europe a bit closer together.

Instead of just sighing loudly (tempting), let's do something!

Just watched Trump's inauguration speech, and oh god, we're cooked.

Before even starting, he's already threatened to invade Greenland, said he may leave NATO, and hinted at throwing our economy under the bus with heavy tariffs. For Europe and the world, the next four years will be a bumpy ride.

So here’s the update. The billionaire owner of the Guardian preparing to get rid of a core part of the news org + 100 journalists.
If you’re a Guardian or Observer reader, please share this. The need for a strong, free & independent press couldn’t be greater. Yet, here it is.

One of the great myths is that European populations are becoming bored with supporting Ukraine. As this poll shows, there is little evidence of this. Actually, Trump getting elected and increasing Russian war crimes will probably lead to an increase in support for Ukraine
The latest poll results of the German Politbarometer by ZDF offer a mostly encouraging picture!

Compared to the October survey, 70% of Germans surveyed are in favour of continuing to supply #Ukraine with weapons (+5%), with 43% of them even agreeing that military aid should be increased!
