Still thinking about this @eurogamer.bsky.social and @digitalfoundry.bsky.social collaboration about the power consumption of modern consoles. Thankfully I had inflated the numbers in the interim and can play a 90hr game for €5 not €20. I can live with that.

This podcast is a palpable reminder of how our rights are being stripped away by housing. We're here struggling to convince our parents that we're trapped in a renter's generation, but if it's not stopped there'll be a generation with less rights as perpetual hotel guests.

I love the revelation here that Sinners was supposed to open with the farmhouse scene. It compromises vampire logic a bit, instead opening with the corrupting power of music.

I feel like this David McWilliams podcast from 2019 is a great indictment on where we've let Ireland go over the past 5 years. We need to bring wealth taxes to the forefront of the Triple Lock conversation. Take the Defence budget from the wealth it's protecting.

@bestbitspodcast.com Listened to the POV episode and wanted to recommend Lola 2023 as a great found footage film. It really solves a lot of problems of the genre. It's super ambitious, cinematic and with a really emotional relationship at it's core. Irish director too.
