The only hope is that the adminstration is as inept as elected Republicans have been for the past four years, and the mid-terms are reached with the electorate coming to their senses. The Danish government should call in the the US Ambassador now ( I know Trump doesn't take office until 20 January) and protest in the strongest terms. It will make a statement.
