Nice to keep up the 100% record in the Oxfordshire Short Mat Bowls Afternoon League Division Two in our first season in this league. We have to start in the lower division, but probably too good for it as tge shots show. Still nine games to go but we can start to plan for Division One next season.

Less than 30 minutes from home, our first ever visit to the National Trust Chastleton House for a morning out. With Beverley Morley , Nick James and Sophie Morley . Built in 1607, it is currently decked out in 1960s style christmas.

It's certainly winter now in Oxfordshire. I am missing my dahlias already! Can't wait to bring the tubers back to life inthree months time.

My favourite waterfall still. Hencken Falls, Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Colombia when we visited 20 years ago. I loved the park. Not commercialised then - hope it is the same now.
