January: Marty Supreme (8/10)

"I have a purpose. And if you think that's some sort of blessing, it's not. It means I have an obligation to see a very specific thing through. And with that obligation comes sacrifice."

January: Sly 2: Band of Thieves (replay) (10/10)

"But not me, no, I saw them for what they really were - the keys to life eternal!"
January 28, 2026 at 10:57 AM
January: The Batman (2004) Season 3 (rewatch) (9/10)

"Why do we do anything, Batman? I do what I do because I have made it my purpose... like you have made it yours to stop me, but shall fail trying."

Finally continuing with the Tales marathon, hopefully this one won't take as long!

January: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (8/10)

"But verily, it be the nature of dreams to end! Only the memory of this dream land will exist in the waking world..."

1. The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy

Surprise surprise.

I might not yap about this game here every waking hour like some other people probably do, but this is the game that defined my 2025

How could I not put it at Number 1?

2. Pullblox/Pushmo

I might've jumped the gun a liiiiittle when I said this is my favorite puzzle game but man, Pullblox is just so so good

The Pullblox puzzles are like a combination of logical puzzle solving and trial and error and while that sounds weird, it comes together beautifully

3. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Yeah, this game isn't perfect and it's kinda oversaturated with minigames, but man, the best of what this game offers really reminds me of why I love FF7

The world is so full of life, the characters all get their moment to shine, and it's just so fulfilling all the way

4. Ico

In contrast to CS3 going down, my opinion of Ico has only lifted since I finished it!

The game definitely has some issues, especially with Yorda's AI being a bit funky in some moments, but I just really enjoy this game's vibes and how much it's able to tell with so little

5. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III

Admittedly my opinion on this game has gone down a little since I finished it, but I still really appreciate it for what it does

The best way I can describe CS3 is that it somehow manages to be both a better and a worse version of CS1

6. Cato: Buttered Cat

A really fun puzzle game with the best stupid premise of all time
I don't like some of the gimmicks and the endgame is a little disappointing, but overall I really liked how the puzzles challenged me and how they utilized the teamwork of the toast and the cat

7. Like a Dragon Gaiden: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

One of the weaker RGG entries for sure, but one I still really enjoyed
The new gameplay systems in this game are really cool, and they really feel like something wholly unique to this game (at least in the series' context)

8. Donkey Kong Bananza

Another game I haven't finished yet and thus can't put much higher, but from what I've played it's been really, REALLY fun

I can understand the complaints people have; the gameplay can get pretty repetitive and most of the levels aren't that special beyond being playgrounds

9. Katana Zero

A really interesting and pretty fun game, I love the way it presents itself
Katana Zero pretty much drops you into the thick of it straight off the bat with no explanations, and keeps things really vague to build up intrigue, and even the way the reveals are handled is really cool

10. Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link

This was a pretty big surprise!
Now granted, I don't think I'd ever play this game without save states and/or rewind features, but for what it's worth, Zelda 2 can be really fun and satisfying at the best of times
