Are we great again yet
I feel safer with the Trump government since they’re sending us back to pre 1906 when the govt intervened in the food industry. FDA is ending food safety inspections, and milk test inspections. What’s a little E.coli amongst friends?

So, The FDA Is Ending Food Safety Inspections? Here's What We Know
They're ending inspections with all those recalls?? It's getting scary out here.

Set up my paycheck to stop contributing to my 401k for a bit today. May be long term at this rate, who knows. Not interested in contributing more to this broken system right now where my investments drop while these people get away with insider trading.

Anyone else doing the same?

NEW: Incredible scenes in Washington DC now.

Tens of thousands on the National Mall for the #HandsOff protest against Trump & Musk.

There must be over a million people protesting across every US state today.

Let’s flood social media with our protest posts since the media here isn’t really covering it.

Let’s show the world what we are really made of.

Share your protests & others on every social media platform you are on.
To the world:
We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.

—With love,
Your American allies.

🖋️ “Protect our privacy! Stop DOGE's access to our personal info!” hit 10,000 signers!
Protect our privacy! Stop DOGE's access to our personal info!
Text SIGN PSZUWY to 50409 — As your constituent, I am writing to ask you to ensure the government is protecting our privacy by demanding a stop to DOGE's unauthorized access to our most personal information. DOGE's access to databases at Treasury, Health and Human Services, and other agencies raises serious concerns about their compliance with legal requirements that ensure executive agencies are responsible stewards of our data. I am also concerned about the Trump administration’s flouting of long-standing legal requirements and how this could break down the checks and balances that protect our rights. DOGE must not illegally access, analyze, or misuse our private financial, medical, and personal records for political purposes. I am deeply concerned that this agency might have forced its way into the government’s most tightly protected databases and systems, without consideration of the longstanding privacy safeguards mandated by the Privacy Act of 1974, the Internal Revenue Code, and other laws. Abuse of data and governmental procedures opens the door for wider abuses, including unconstitutional impoundment of funds, dismantling programs that help everyday Americans, corrupt use of sensitive confidential information for personal gain, and mass government surveillance. As your constituent, I urge you to conduct immediate oversight into DOGE’s actions and fight back against these intrusive privacy invasions. Please write to tell me what you’re doing about this. Thanks.

Watching The Good Place, a character was frustrated with an ineffective group of folks in positions of power and said the Titanic was sinking and they were writing a strongly worded letter to the iceberg.

Feels like quite the analogy for Democracy right about now.

Writing politicians isn’t working…

Write T Swift instead. Maybe she can write a real banger about free and fair elections and inspire a movement to save democracy or something. Get out your pen and paper and get to work.

Dull, overwhelming gray covering it all is a perfect metaphor for the bigger picture.

This photograph was taken two days ago at the FBI Academy in Quantico and submitted to the NYT under the condition of anonymity.

If a picture is usually worth a thousand words, this one is worth millions.
