Ghost Rider's one definitely counts as an upgrade (It essentially gives the vehicle the powers of a Speedster) and it's the most literal "Possession" on the list.

Well we see in Doomsday Clock that he likes using Magic, not because it's more powerful than his existing powers, but because it's a new type of power, and "it feels good to still learn".
So the question would be whether he uses it directly or takes it apart to learn the principles.
