Friends and friends of friends, feel free to follow me.

For folk I don't know (or with really obscure profile names), drop me a line explaining who you are, and/or why you'd like to follow me.

Who knows, I might follow you back.

Like many, I suspect, I am getting many follows from folk I don't know or recognise.

Some of these are not strangers at all, but are old friends with obscure Bluesky names.

Some *are* strangers, but have been tickled by something I've posted, or interacted publicly.

That's all good.
Saturday morning, I woke up to find my boiler showing an error message I was sure was terminal. My local boiler guy confirmed this.

To be fair, when dealing with a different issue, last year he commented that was probably going to be the last repair he could do on the 16-year-old boiler.

Someone follows me.

I don't know them, but I guess that is OK.

They have zero posts. Perhaps they are shy.

They have zero replies. Maybe they don't have a lot to say?

Their profile picture - a selfie in a mirror - reverse searches to other profiles and sex posts.

Is it extreme for me to block?

I've seen this story in a few places, and have some thoughts.

1. It is nowhere near Easter yet. Stop it!

2. If you design an "egg" based on a long established and iconic biscuit design, do you have any right to complain when someone else does the same?

Amazed* this hasn’t been more widely reported.

*not remotely amazed
Although nothing Kemi Badenoch has done since has helped herself, the Conservatives have been on the back foot on this topic from the moment they *kicked off* by asking the government to publish data that it had, in fact, already published:

Like many others, I follow a mixture of friends, news feeds, political snarks and such.

It would be handy to have an optional feed containing posts of only your friends, for when you want to catch up without scrolling through everything else.

What's this? A platform/app where my default view is people I choose to follow? Without my needing to do anything?

My dog is poorly, and due for a minor op today.

So an early night planned.

But 3 times she jumped on the bed, absolutely shivering. I thought she was really coming down with something; then I found that the "poor girl" had been playing in the snow.

She is now at the vet. I am going back to bed.
