The Message for the Left from the perspective of municipal politics from Zohran is simple: One way to combat national austerity policies is through decentralized power by making cities bring stability to our lives through new programs and services. Municipal socialism is the closest action to do.
One thing is clear: @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and @socialists.nyc have made history! Thousands of working-class people have stood up to the capitalist class to demand a more affordable and livable New York City. Win or lose, the fight is just beginning! Join DSA today: dsausa.org/join

A study using government data finds that if all businesses became 30% employee-owned, the bottom 90% would experience significant gains in wealth, with much of the benefits going to marginalized groups.

If we're serious about addressing wealth inequality, worker ownership must be at the forefront.

I personally support this and will mention this in my steering committee. But while we need Party structure, Being able to win elections as a minor party is also important. Will groundwork DSA give resources to fund ballot initiative campaigns to push fusion voting, multi- member districts and more?
🧵DSA must change into something strong enough to meaningfully influence politics on the scale of the next presidential election, potential general strike, and whatever other national ruptures may come.

So this convention, we must become a DSA For All.

Democrats talking about democracy in the workplace is a winning issue that they should exploit not talking about democracy when it comes to institutions. institutions that voters feel like have forgotten about them.

We should apply this mentality to state legislators. State democrat parties in red/ purple states sold themselves a lie that appealing to the right will lift them from their minority party status. Sorry but you need to give people leftwing economic populist solutions to their right wing problems
It’s Groundhog’s Day and we’re stuck in the same shitty time loop with feckless Democrats cowering in the face of fascism. It’s time for primary challenges. www.progressreport.news/p/democrats-...

Thank you for representing but You’ve told me in constituent meets that you had to tweak your bills in order for Republicans to pass them. Even then Republicans refused to adopt your bills because they fundamentally oppose labor rights, such as the wage bill, even youth wage theft bill they oppose
I’ve tried to pass anti-wage theft legislation every session I’ve served. I’ve tried to help pass renters’ rights every session since 2013. I’ve had success passing juvenile justice reforms and laws to increase access to cancer treatments.

This Senate seat’s gonna be open in 2026.
