Spent two hours last night with a stabilisation point army surgeon who told me the visitors to the cemetery in his head filled with those he could not save keeps him awake at night. Those words kept me awake last night as well.

Our Bandura player and therapist Anastasiya, has arrived in Kramatorsk to begin our two week project collaborating with AFU to bring music, Ukrainian culture & therapy to our defenders at the front. In true Fierce Calm style, she hears a siren, she makes music 💛💙

It's a privilege to know him.

And for friends asking: Eddy is making remarkable progress in such an incredibly short space of time. As he says, "The 17 litres of Ukrainian blood put into him has given him super powers". Getting up & down off the floor a big step for a new prosthetic. His outlook is truly inspirational.

Yes, the work can be mentally tough. But who else gets to poke their head out of their office to see what the commotion is, only to see a guy who sat crying with you a couple of months ago because he thought he would never even stand, let's alone walk again, doing this! UNBROKEN Lviv

We're a fairly small community of volunteers out here in Ukraine, and few were as brave, dedicated, selfless and popular as Chris Garrett. He saved countless lives doing real heroes work de-mining, instructing & aupplying meds. We are all in shock & deeply saddened. RIP Swampy

As more prisoners are released, it's a bitter sweet moment, knowing that they may have their physical freedom today, but tomorrow they may never be truly free from the mental and emotional torment and pain of what has been done to them.

So, the strikes aren't 'evil' or even 'terrible'. Just "unnecessary", you know, like 'uncalled for'. And "bad timing", because, murdering civilians on a Thursday when Trump's looking forward to golf at the weekend is really bad timing. Maybe Tuesdays would be better Vladimir?

We hosted a pasta making & group dinner for a very special group of veterans from the hospital at weekend. Being together in community, in common purpose, eating, laughing crying together so vital right now 💛💙

Taking our patients from the rehabilitation centre to visit local schools in Ukraine is turning out to be one of the most impactful and rewarding things we do. It's also enjoyed tremendously by our veterans feel seen, by kids who don't see missing limbs or victims, but friends and protectors 💛💙
