My Mom knit this sweater for my Dad in the 60's. They have both past. What am I to do with a thick warm nostalgic garment that no one would wear now?

And I will never forget the discarded lineup of red snapper washed upon the beach of Kaysuun, Haida Gwaii, dumped at sea because it was "illegal bycatch " 25 years ago!
Trawling in the Bering Sea is one of the main causes of the collapse of the Yukon salmon population. It's been 5 years since we've been allowed to fish for our own salmon as subsistence fishermen, who used to rely on salmon for ~60% of our diet. Yet commercial trawlers have never stopped.
I will forever be haunted by this footage.

Trawling has only been filmed underwater a few times in documentary history, and never with such clarity.

What’s so heart-rending about these shots is watching how the animals don’t just get swept up — they swim for their lives.
