Frankly this is why I love him. I love that his movies are so tender and sentimental at heart and I love his sympathetic monsters.

Sorry to put my Bond nonsense on the timeline there are definitely a lot of my leftist followers out there who don’t give a crap about it but the books & Connery movies are sentimental & interesting to me mainly because i like Cold War politics & gender roles

Seriously, I know what I'd do with Bond. Total reboot, period, young Bond, set in the 50s, Cold War - but with modern sensibilities addressed via presenting Bond tonally as an anti-hero. Let him be the skeezy, reactionary, misogynistic, sentimental, alcoholic speed-chugging mess from the books.
