Recently read "Journey to the river sea" Eva Ibbotson as never did at the time...LOVED it 😀
Another to push on people is "The Supreme Lie" Geraldine McCaughrean, both are beautifully written and great stories too.
For YA fun "Ace of Spades" Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé and "On the Come Up" Angie Thomas 📖

Boys' secondary: non-fiction according to interests (including sports biogs), GNs, Chris Bradford books including the Barrington Stokes titles, Dan Freedman books (helps that we regularly have both for author events!), Rick Riordan books including GNs, Darren Shan Cirque du Freak, Nathaniel Lessore

Happy to say we have a copy in the school library, agree a great book.

We have lots more important and well written recent non fiction too, including social history.

Would recommend Natives, How Westminster Works and Why It Doesn't, Invisible Women...
