The best textbooks are the best pieces (in music), in architecture thebuildings, in literature the novels or theatrical texts, etc Poetry I diverse guessings at the end: the final menuetto of Diabelli’s is a musical synopsis of profound intelectual meaning behind its apparent simplicity #Beethoven
After God’s Goldberg’s now I go with a prophet: Diabelli’s #Beethoven #Uchida He learned cembalo/piano playing “The well tempered clavier” and although not definitively proven I am sure he loved and admired Goldberg’s. His approach is rather different but cites them while writing his own gospel
Despite many apparently solid theological arguments the only really difficult evidence of #God existence is Bach’s music which, definitely, is superhuman. Listening to Goldberg’s Perahia or Frisch renderings you can’t avoid these feelings
