Been on a citizen's jury for chronic pain. Been wild listening to people give a fuck & watching community work together. Between discussions I doodled. Gave one to a staff member who kept letting me out the building to smoke. Y'all the appreciation they showed at such a small gift was heartwarming.

Deeply fucking tired today

Ghouls, in the OG myths were tricky, luring victims w/ false concern to slay them & often steal their form after. Later myths had them as corpse eaters, more monstrous vultures. There's a lot of ghouls in politics and how they want to feast on our bones. Sickened by us and ravenous all the same.

Spoke with a well regarded medical professional today, sourcing feedback about healthcare in the UK. The response given to pointing out the vast inequality in standard of care due to socioeconomic factors/other biases was 'well that hasn't happened with me' and I'm just so tired.

It's also deeply fucking maddening watching some govts internationally pivot left and see major gains and then watch the UK and US say 'no one wants a left wing party!!!11!' and just ignore political theory and observable facts. It's like watching someone insist toilets are for air frying food.

Always fun to discover your MP was fully pro-Israel and took pot shots at literally every leading left wing voice in the country. Really hammers home that deep sense of dread.

I joined a social media platform to follow creators I enjoy like, two days before the leader of the ostensibly centrist party, echoed fascistic rhetoric in a speech about immigration. It's like the universe is daring me to fall back into the rabbit hole of screaming into the void.
