“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
And a huge life experience gap. Those teens, especially the younger ones, probably didn't see what was coming their way until it was too late and they didn't know how to make it stop.

I think you're thinking of a girl's 1st period. Puberty starts 2-3 years earlier than that as a girl starts producing the hormones that lead up to having a menstrual cycle. So a girl of 12, 6th grade, starts puberty with early breast development sometime in 4th grade, prob. @ 10 yrs.: tweens/a kid.

I had one where they stuffed all of me into the tube. They were looking at my kidneys or liver (I never remember which) for hemochromatosis damage. It was incredibly loud and thumpy and lasted nearly an hour. A difficult exercise in my ability to breathe slowly and think about something else. !!

Wishing you both a better result that the one you're afraid of. ❤️

He had no idea of what body part got MRI'd! Whatever it was, it was amazing. No magnets though. If there had been magnets, he'd still be in the tube stuck to the walls.

His soul? No, no MRI of that.

Have you been buying cars that use less gas (better mpg/hybrid/electric)? Installed solar panels? Voted for people who act on climate issues? Voted against climate negligent projects? Donated to groups that deal with climate related issues? We can't all be the governor, but we can all do our bit.

Politifact: We searched public records and results on the Nexis database and found no evidence of cases connecting the names above to Trump. Google searches also revealed no credible news stories or reports confirmed these cases."

Same for Snopes and Lead Stories.

After the thrashing Lawrence O'Donnell delivered last night basically calling Trump a chicken, I'm not surprised. I'm pretty sure that was the plan.

A 14 or 15 yr old is in the 8th or 9th grade. She's not old enough to drive, much less drink. She has to have permission slips signed by her parents to go off campus. She's too young to vote or get married or take out a loan. She probably still keeps stuffies on her bed. She's a child.

Yes, he knew them...biblically.

Well, I did google UCP and that's how I discovered my guess on the subject being from Australia was incorrect. Any time I refer to California when it could possibly be mistaken for Canada, I type the whole word vs CA, even if California has 10 letters vs 2 for CA. Aimed at you, but I was interested.

I'm waiting for Denmark to annex California. Oregon and Washington want to come too.

When you can spend $180M to locate and remove Luis from the donut store and Marisol from the the hotel cleaning crew, you know you've done a good job making America great. Starving children, seniors and disabled? Those mooches have no value.

So be it. (Not enough times) you reap what you sow.

Having figured out we're talking about Alberta, it makes me happy to be informed that Smith is rattled. I like Banff and Calgary, they deserve a better govt.
November 12, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Helpful to those of us not overly familiar with non-American governments: please note where you're talking about, particularly if it's a subset of a larger country as is the United Conservative Party of Alberta. I thought maybe we were talking about Australia, because "boomerang" in photo caption.

Trump isn't going to live long enough to get convicted of anything. Have you seen him recently? I doubt he'll make it to 2028.
November 12, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Why does she always look like a hooker? Mmmm.
November 12, 2025 at 4:52 PM
Oh, so that's why:

"Rep. Pat Harrigan: 'I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a
force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD.'"

Reminds me of the Brock Turner case in 2016. He was caught raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster at Stanford. The judge cited "the 'severe impact' a longer sentence would have on him." The kid got 6 mos + probation, but served only 3 mos. back home w/Mommy and Daddy. Boys will be boys?

At which point Bovino's thugs throw you to the ground, pound on you for a while, charge you with assaulting an officer, throw you in the back of an unmarked vehicle, and rush you off to the first of 3 detention centers. You have rights under the law, but the law is currently under water.

"He will do anything he can to help anyone." This is very dependent on how one defines "anyone." Trump divides homo sapiens into 2 groups: those who love me and others. Grp. 1 he will help, grp 2 is only good for providing services, similar to vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers, not humans really.

My dad worked grocery store adjacent. He arranged for can labels to be designed, printed and delivered to Del Monte or Springfield or whoever. He always told us the the profit margin per item at grocery stores is really thin. That info is decades old now, but I'm guessing it's still true.

I dunno. Japan's PM seemed both concerned and annoyed that she had to keep herding T around the room to keep him from either wandering in the wrong direction or just stopping and staying. How could she have any serious discussions with him in that condition?
