“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
OMG, I had't seen this long view before. I knew he was doing the tasteless stick ons, but this is appalling. And embarrassing.

At which point Bovino's thugs throw you to the ground, pound on you for a while, charge you with assaulting an officer, throw you in the back of an unmarked vehicle, and rush you off to the first of 3 detention centers. You have rights under the law, but the law is currently under water.

I want to know about the kid who wants a $96 telescope. I'm tempted.

I needed some context; now I get it. Yes, as a Californian I'm totally with you on this. People are idiots and fires are too easy to blow up. Perp: "I didn't mean to burn down your house. 😬" Big help.

Back in Cheney's hay day, Mom was in her mid-80s and, sadly, watching FN. I told her Cheney was going to hell (she believed in hell). Now there are many even worse creatures surrounding T, that almost seems almost naive, but I still think it's true (if hell was real). May he reap his just rewards.

We're working out way back to feudalism, as in the middle ages. The the nobility "let" the peasants use land to grow crops to eat, while demanding a good chunk of that food for the castle as well as their services as army as needed. Malnutrition and death in childhood were common. Sound familiar?

A Creamsicle. The challenge is to both make calls and catch the drips.

It is time to take the protests to the district offices of the vacationing R reps. In 2017 Daryl Issa's constituents showed up at his Vista office at least weekly to protest. It worked. He didn't run again in that district, but moved 1 district east. His new district doesn't seem to like him either.

Some of the $200M will need to go towards all the gold trim.

My favorite sign from today. (This is an approximation, but so cool with all those puffy pom poms glued all over!)

Trump wanted to shoot live fire over the I-5 freeway as part of Camp Pendleton's 250th b'day celebration. Yesterday CP said that wasn't happening. Today the WH says it is; they wanted Cal Trans to post “Overhead fire in progress” signs along the I-5. CA has closed I-5 for 4 hours. Huge traffic prob.

Interesting choice of dates for the Marine's year long "250th Birthday" at Camp Pendleton: Oct. 18! Vance & Petey will be there-shocker. The public is invited to party on Pendleton's Del Mar Beach. There was talk of shooting howitzers over I-5, but that was nixed. I call "distraction & diversion."

Is this worth oil companies making even more money than they do now? I grew up in this and have no intention of our next generations going back to it. CA has been at the forefront of emissions restriction for decades and it's worked.

This artwork makes him look too human. His normal look is much more "the eyes of the dead." Did anyone check his childhood backyard for dead animals with signs of torture?

And what he objected to about this photo was his hair! How does a person spend so much emotional capital on his hair? Jamie Raskin's hair fell out (chemo) and he didn't have an infantile meltdown. Jeez Donnie, go suck your thumb and suck it up.

Except when someone gets carried away with patriotism at a Unite the Right rally and runs over someone who doesn't recognize their superiority. But, hey, there were good people on both sides that day! One dead woman plus 35 injured just got in the way of that peace.

"...all decisions are Trump's..." Isn't that a scary idea. The man is an idiot who knows absolutely nothing about warfare or diplomacy. He has delusions of grandeur and visions of unlimited wealth. It's hard to know is more motivating, power or wealth. People and their lives mean nothing.

2/This may remind the military of their actual duty. ICE wont give a shit, but the optics will be bad if they shoot at peaceful people singing patriotic songs. Bring lots of small flags (so they don't say you had weapons). If you're there at dawn, sing the Star Spangled B. Remind them of who we are.

1/To anyone who plans on braving the military sent by T: I'd like to suggest some choral singing to remind the troops of why you're there. Dust off the words to both God Bless America and America the Beautiful and sing loud and proud.

But he won't share Russia, Russia, Russia*, and certainly not in this context. This "case" is all about the "lie," the lie he didn't tell.

*I take that back. Maybe he'll write a book and let us know about Russia, Russia, Russia - sooo many years too late.

She's very unlikely to personally prosecute this case. Someone more competent assigned. How many attys in the EDVA will refuse and resign? Maybe she'll have to take it on after all. The result will be the same. You know that "lie" Comey told, the one where he said it wasn't him who leaked?

Cunningham did 8 yrs 4 months for tax evasion, conspiracy to commit bribery ($2.4M from defense contractors), mail fraud, and wire fraud. Trump pardoned him in 2021, 8 yrs after he was released from jail: "...Cunningham tutored inmates while in prison and now volunteers for a local fire department."

This is the one he lusts after. (I hear it's really uncomfortable-no shocks.) He can't have it, so he'll have to settle for lots of tanks and smart salutes ("Sir, Yes, Sir!"), but all that gold just gets him salivating. Maybe Charles will let him just borrow it for a day to ride down PA Ave.
