2day was a sick day for me & I’m feeling blah. But…my sts had projects 2 submit 4 Eng 12 Film&Lit. As entry-point 4 txt analysis this year, in paired groups, they selected a short 🎞️(I gave options), processed those txts by discussing & note-taking, wrote theme statements & made a storyboard.

A superduper fun day at 🏫 2day. There were about 50 of us Ts wearing 6/7 & we got 2 take a moment in the day 2 connect w folks who work alongside us. Definitely ended the week on a positive🎵. As u can see, I was busting a gut 😆 @ the kids who were doing the hand gestures…

@ beg. of year, kids write letters to me, defining their hopes/expectations 4 year. Also, sharing 2 bits of their identity. Who they r as a student & a human. I kept this 1.

I laughed so hard 2day. We’re analyzing short film (plot, text/film details, character arc/conflict, theme). A group is doing a 🎞️ w an actress ‘who looks like someone, Ms F!’ (a comedian, 1 of them said). We couldn’t figure out who. Then I get this on Teams. The clay is silent 😂 Kids are hilarious.

Some of the best things I’ve eaten this summer…all made by my son. He took classes at the #DirtyApron & has had so much fun. He’s taken a liking to cooking and I am so lucky to see that passion grow - and to eat what he makes! Really yummy food. #food #pasta #cooking #summereats
