If anything I detect a distinctly feminine aura from Aster. Where's that coming from?
Maybe I don't read cheetahs as masculine. That's kinda weird. A "dogs are boys cats are girls" thing.
Or it could just be that they remind me of my old piano teacher (one of the reasons I bought them).

I still find it interesting that basically everyone assumes they're male.
I understand there's a "default assumption" that unless a character's gender is specified, they're a dude. Though I wonder whether that's the only thing going on.
