Trans people deserve to live happy lives.

Trans people deserve to be seen and heard.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

Went back out this weekend, and I think I finally have the IR focusing nailed, I wish I had a mirrorless IR camera, would be so much easier. But now on the editing experimentation!

Also from last weekend, playing with infrared. I’m getting close to the right place, but diffraction is still pulling the sharpness out of it. I need to do more math and figure out the best f-stop to get that sharpness perfect.

Checked out a local cemetery this weekend I’d never seen.

I finally did it. Except for my IR converted camera, my film cameras, and a few wide angle lenses I’ve gone over to mirrorless. Traded everything in on a Z8, 85/1.2, 105/2.8 macro, 40/2, 70-200/2.8 and a 24-200/4. I’ve been really pleased, only tried the 105 so far, but I love this camera!

A key tenet of librarianship is privacy. And yes, that includes children. Children are, despite what some adults say, people with rights.
It is my position, as a librarian, a library board member, and an individual, that NO ONE should be able to see what books another person has checked out and that loan history should be deleted as soon as books are returned.

I don't care how young or old someone is.
