The ‘most global’ of Hungarian writers was awarded the Nobel yesterday. Just today, we agreed on the contract to have A Global History of Hungary published in English in 2027. Pure coincidence? Seemingly so :)

Let me just say that I used to show and translate Sátántangó once a year while in grad school & by coincidence, I sat with him once on a Deutsche Bahn train leaving Berlin
