Cryptid in training.
Stop calling them Nazis. Call them Stasi. Because that's much more in line, especially when you factor in the Russian interference.

Pie: skillet apple. Made two days late because I ran out of time and mental space on 3/14. Probably for the best as this let us fully enjoy the pie without being over-full of other pies.

Pie: tourtier (a meat pie). Made on 3/14, but took longer than I hoped so dinner was rather late.

A lot of people didn’t think this kind of thing would happen. It’s hard for some to believe.

But it’s going to keep happening. They’ll continue to try and shock you. Try not to let them.

We’ve got a long road ahead of us.

Are we sure that the other Republicans aren't setting the Orange Toddler up for impeachment? He's trying to do so many illegal things that it would be very, very easy to justify.

The worst thing about living in a rural area right now is having to tell my kids, "Don't talk about politics at school." My defiant 10-year-old does not understand why and is getting his back up a little.

We can pass, and can do more good if we fly under the radar.

The kitties love their Yule gift, a 4 foot tall cat tree with a cave, 2 platforms, and some nice jute scratching posts.

Finally started playing Baldur's Gate III today and giggled like a middle schooler at the character creation options. The kids asked what I was laughing about and tried to look over my shoulder so I had to put the clothing back on the 'toon and move on.

There is a meme format going around Bluesky where people share an image of an arrow pointing to the bottom right, where the alt badge is on Bluesky. The gag or punch line of this meme is that when the user selects the alt badge, they get a joke. This is not the intended purpose of alt text.

Today's Daily Debate question: Krispy Kreme or Dunkin'?

Today's question brought to you by the 3-freaking-dozen Krispy Kreme donuts my children brought home from the town Christmas festival (each kid bought their own box).

Daily debate question!

Black cats: empty-headed puddles of shadow who accidentally sit in spots where you'll kick them, or master manipulators who deliberately place themselves in your way in order to keep you feeling guilty for kicking them, and thus more likely to remain properly subservient?
