Turned a couple of cross stitches into cushions tonight. One for my first cousin once removed and one for me as we both have been recently bereaved.

Backstitching is magic 🪡🧵#crossstitch
Cross stitch in a hoop showing some vaguely defined blue flowers and what might be a ladybird. Same cross stitch in a hoop with back stitch, now you can see that are a wreath of forget-me-not with a little ladybird sitting on a leaf. The difference the backstitching makes to the understandability of the cross stitch is enormous, one could almost liken it to like having alt text on pictures!

Oh dear, doesn't bode well for my resolutions BUT I'll take it if it means this year will be sweeter than 2024, which was a big pile of 💩

Mum's funeral today. It was nice. So many friends. Mum had a coffin painted with daisies. Live life to the full and the love will endure 🌼

Toulouse, Place de Capitole. It now has a market several days a week, although there is a car park underneath they have generally restricted car access to the whole area.
