Then they buy politicians to take away even that minimal guardrail to sustain basic existence.

We don’t have a housing crisis or an affordability crisis.

Our “affordability” crisis is the consequence of market forces getting completely out of whack to benefit the rich.

Wal-Mart doen’t pay the actual cost of its labor force. It pays a fraction of that

and services, there would NOT be an affordability crisis.

There just wouldn’t be.

BUT rich people and rich enterprises capture and co-opt government to use its levers to artificially contain wage growth!

They also collude with each other to artificially manipulate and contain the wages

We have a market that allows competition to dictate prices through supply and demand on EVERYTHING BUT WAGES for non-executive workers.

And that’s why taxing the shit out of the rich to pay for those government guardrails makes 100% sense.

New CBS poll on Trump's handling of inflation is down to 36% while 64% disapprove. This is more evidence that Trump regime is LYING about low inflation numbers. We all see prices jumping up on everything we buy from food to clothing. This poll backs this up.

Why the f’ck should I pay taxes?

Trump’s mind is fucking scrambled eggs. He does something just about every two hours (almost literally) to make this epically troubling fact obvious. This reality should be the topic of a story somewhere every day. But nope.
Tedious to point this out, but:

- When a tongue-tied Biden said "President of Mexico" instead of "Prez of Egypt," it was a several day story.

-Hours after Trump says whoever appointed J Powell made a big mistake (it was him), the episode appears not to merit a story on any national-media sites.

Keep this in mind when you are looking at news. Not too long ago, U.S. mainstream news wanted to get the story out, inclusive of all pertinent information and largely without bias. That is no longer the case with many mainstream networks.
