Life After Cars. The first hardcover book I've picked up to read in years, and it's well worth it. #thewaroncars

Enough people liked my comment that I thought I should share a better picture of this new to me gem.💕

I found this immaculate 40 year-old Steve Bauer racing bike, nearly identical to one I used to own - lost in an incident with an Uber, for sale on marketplace and purchased it.

Indeed,😒 design that kills is good for #ego not for cities or people.
I'm 5'9 inches and this pickup truck, one of many parked on my street, has a hood at over 60 inches or 120 cm tall. If this hit me, a grown adult, I would not survive. The mass of this truck makes stopping quicky difficult.

The incredible and relatively new Parque La Plancha is a multi kilometer long park space; with a lake, an interactive fountain, walking paths, 2 way cycling paths, an elevated walkway, exceptional street furniture and fantastic playgrounds, completed in one year. Do better #Toronto #Ontario

These metal speed control bumps are not necessarily new, but they are in some of the newly designed areas. They seem to effectively slow cars down before pedestrian crossings. 3/?

The down-lit bollards, lighting the path while protecting pedestrians from any dangerous cars 2/?

In Mexico for a training and to visit friends. I am particularly taken by recent improvements in Merida, such as this airy-looking bus traveling down an avenue with exceptional traffic calming measures: narrow streets, clear pedestrian crossings, & bollards with downlighting 1/?

In #Toronto center, I'm lucky to have a garden! My 5'x8' plot may seem limited, but I manage to grow a variety of food: curly, dinosaur and Ethiopian kale, collard greens, cucumber, zucchini, mint, parsley and sage, plus sunflowers & lavender.

My pedelec was imperative for riding up a slow 8 km climb after an exhausting day working at the homeless shelter.

I can also more easily carry 30 lbs of dog or groceries.

Not relevant, but neither fat nor lazy, I like other pedelec users appreciate the power boost and ability to ride further.

The Merlin type hat, not the sweater. It’s warm and about 5 feet long so it can do double duty as a hat and scarf. Knit both colors one continuous garment including the stars with an additional embroidered outline on each one.

Just because we had that experience, doesn't mean there aren't better options available for social housing. I would love to see this type of low carbon, walkable, green housing representing inclusion and diversity. #Vienna #socialhousing

Yes! They love to chase squirrels. I actually have a very Hairy Hairless, along with the Puff. They are cute but have very different temperaments.
