Alright... the time has come to evaluate and restore my Peavey 1516 full/bi-amp cab. I already have some leads (heh) on chronic trouble spots, and as the original 8"s are gone I'm thinking of a matched pair to replace.

Gotta say, I was very impressed with this spider's ambition.
[hummingbirds were not as impressed...]

You're the only other person I've seen with SRD gear. I have a Bass Rockman from (I think) mid-80s...

Dang, I should clean my grinder a little more often...

I just don't understand why the scroll wheel doesn't work as well as it used to...

YES!
Matched pair of L-90s, 4 Henry for neck and 6 Henry for bridge. Best pups I've ever used, been rocking a Lawrence in my P-bass since the late '80s... even took time to track down stacked OBL HBs for my Tele...

Guess I'm a few weeks overdue on the annual un-furring of my receiver.

Huh. Dug this bad (old) boy up when I was excavating the man cave for something. Wonder if I can repurpose it? It's amazing to me how far things have advanced in ~ 16 years.

I like nights like this. It's mildly creepy and very quiet. (The light enhancement doesn't do the fog justice...)[stupid phone's smarter than I am.]

For a bit of a tangent...
I mod my guitars. Here's a H-S-S base with two stacked HBs in the singles. They're wired phase-switchable (in this image) with the HB wired series/parallel.
This is all cool stuff in this thread, I like seeing it.

I went with white vinegar (had that on hand) and one drop of detergent. 45 minutes got me this... (damn potatoes spoiling...)
Another life hack - slugs will drown themselves if you place a small dish of beer in your garden.

The other side has a forest camping scene with either Knights or conquistadors, detail isn't that good. I think they're wearing pantaloons. There are tents!

The name on the blade is one "Conrad Kreimes". The majority of the blade is etched (stamped?) leafy vines and such. There appears to be a sun towards the tip.

any fraternal order markings or symbols, but there really isn't much to go on other than the name. Even the manufacturer - M.C. Lilley - was a manufacturer of ceremonial garb and utensils. Like swords.

OK Sky People I need some crowd help.
My late Father was a blade collector for most of his life, and I inherited many interesting pieces. One is a ceremonial sword with a man's name etched in the blade.

I would like to return it to the family of the owner.

I have tried my best to find...
