This is why we are so strict on people’s language as disabled people and why we call people out for seemingly trivial language for you but which can be harmful for us — I’m referencing words like “insane”, “unhinged”, “moron”, “idiot” etc; all these have eugenicist links.
Since 2020, disabled people have been pointing out the rising ease with ableist rhetoric/language, the comfort with which so many people used the r word, the number of people willing to abandon disabled people for some notion of the "normal."
All of it mattered/matters to understand fascism today.

Their plan was always to cover up long COVID & make it invisible which is why I'm soooo excited about the upcoming "Living with Long Covid" exhibit at the Museum of Vancouver - this will bring the condition to light!
