Forced (not really) in to early retirement from corporate IT and exploring getting back in to animation. Beyond just watching cartoons all the time, at least.

The older remote that was the swipe-only square was infinitely worse. The first thing I did with the new one was to disable swipe and change the keyboard to grid. Much easier to deal with.

My Phaser 6130 is still a tank, though. That old team was amazing. When my toner stash runs out I'll be sad.

Xerox is basically rebadging Lexmark for the small office stuff. And "no bullshit" got IRIF'd years ago. Not that I'm bitter... 😓

I haven't seen this exactly, but i figure the right side was for the visual workprint, and the left for the synced-up sprocketed magnetic film. At least, that's how it worked when I edited with a more modern flatbed way back. Pretty sure older editing was done with these sorts of uprights.

Well, you've got the one i like go figure, was going to suggest Brazil but you got that covered too. Akira Kurosawa's Dreams has some great sequences; I'm a fan of the fox wedding and Van Gogh "why aren't you painting?!" in particular
