Ironically, I was reading a section on misplacing items while distracted. When I got home from the grocery store, it took me another 5-10 minutes to find the book (I brought for a wait at the pharmacy)…which was in one of the grocery bags…still in the car.

Two kinds of people don’t get why we study religion: people who think religion is bad and not studying it will make it go away and people who think religion is good—but just their own—so keep your critical hands off it. Both are wrong about what religious studies is. (See first comments on op.)

What excites me the most about rallying western Christians towards justice work as an ordained minister:

Justice work isn’t just good for our poor & oppressed neighbours; it’s also good for neighbours with power & privilege who need to regularly encounter and be transformed by Jesus on the margins.
