Sorry to be pedantic, but orcas are of the dolphin family, not whales.

Oh, yes! The whole European Union is talking about settling on one time or the other. They were going to do it in 2020, but the pandemic got in the way!!
Now they've got to discuss it all over again, and get 27 different countries to agree.
Goodness knows how long that will take!!

I'm English, but I've lived in Spain for 20 years now. We don't really call the two 'times' anything, but officially I suppose they are Standard Time in Winter and DST in summer.
We just say the clocks are changing.... We only have one time zone, which is called CET - Central European Time

Our changeover days are different, though. This year we went to Summer Time on 30th March, and back to -normal- time on 26th October.

Just think about Spain and Portugal. Portugal is always one hour behind, just by stepping over a line. And the UK and France, separated only by 23 miles of water (north to south, not east to west)

No, we still change in spring and autumn

Over here in Europe we do the same, but we're thinking about stopping the changes as well.

It's one of the reasons that there are more wild fires now in Northern Spain than before. The oil in the leaves and the flaking trunk catches fire and gets blown away to start new fires.

Asturias in Northern Spain is the same. I visited recently after a gap of 30 years, and hardly recognised the place!

I have chronic high blood pressure, and my medication costs me 25 CENTS for 2 month's supply. But then, I live in Spain, which has a Socialist government 😁😁

If it wasn't for the scavengers (magpies, vultures, kite etc), we'd be up to our ears in dead bodies.
