2 men born about 1919, one my father, told me about 'suss' as it was in their youth in east end London. A young man wasn't safe on the streets. Police used to trawl & pick them up at random. It was an instant 3 weeks in prison. No evidence, just police whim. War on the poor.

The 'Bloody code' - till 18 Centaury, targeted the poor, rational 'you don't make enough money to live ergo you must steal etc as you are not dead '= 'guilt, if not of this crime then another' = hang. Judges robes date back to this heyday

Its the public that are getting picked up in dragnet arrests. Remand is through the roof and prison is punishing all innocent & guilty alike. Entering those gates means losing everything. Marketisation means trials weighted against the defendant. Lock up the public wholesale for the public good, aye

She arrived - no charges, no papers, on the slim basis she had a bladed weapon. There is little healthcare, the many mentally ill have medication taken away & scream & rant day & night. By being locked up she will most likely lose everything, have no activities. Lock up & neglect

Do full disclosure for all on remand now- it will prove that this is the current perversion of justice. Regulate now

This is the real test of how much commitment the establishment has to a fair ethical society. They cheat the public purse daily, as far as they are concerned the public are just ants. useless ants, profitable ants, but ants none the less

Last week woman arrived no charges or papers, magistrates sent her to hell for her own safety because she self harms, slim rational she had a bladed weapon to hurt herself. Many women start this in there. No activities no care. Lack of care reported for years,

I think it might already be to late, and we have backed ourselves into a corner, privatised infrastructure emasculates politics, leaving Gov's with the role of enforcer. Supply lines & trade routes too vulnerable - leading to conflict. Climate & real problems cant be tackled

Economics is a bit of a glass bead game. Unfortunately Marx made Adam Smiths philosophy look scientific, giving it legitimacy & seem more rational, instead of the religious- end of the enlightenment 'Transcendence of nature' romanticism our system of political economics is based on.

The Off's & ombudsman's where instituted before widespread use of private contractors. Private comp's will maximise profits and cut costs, reduce/not provide services if left unregulated. Governments will be filled with neoliberals who will not regulate as they are principally corp. Lobbyists.

A woman came into one of the private prisons (were regulation don't exist) today. She was sent 'for her own safety' as she self-harms, no charges, no papers, on the slim basis she had a bladed weapon. There is no healthcare, as such, the mentally ill have medication taken away. Lock up & neglect

I don't think its exactly ethical to import a workforce and then deny them a family life. If you actually allow them to be anything else than drones you cannot control population growth. Immigrants welcome but they must have the same expectations as everybody else, or all will suffer. empties/invest

The problem is that Faux Labour and the EU are Neoliberal institutions, so are the conservatives for that matter. They will all end in authoritarianism one flavour or the other. We need an EU but, not one that is based solely on trade agreements. It hasn't got the ethical framework it actually needs
