There’s plenty of ways to hide money meant to influence a candidate or support a candidate who would be hurt by your support being in the open.

Finally, the fact that her own FEC filings don’t list pro-Israel donors isn’t proof that she’s not getting any help from them. Most of the Israel lobby money behind Cuomo wasn’t in his FEC filing b/c they went straight to PACs supporting him. That’s going to be happening more now b/c it’s toxic.

The “anti-Israel extremism” she complained about is LITERALLY the moderate position now. It is HER and those like her who have taken the extremist position of sending weapons and money to fascist country no matter the facts.

You’re demonstrating the appeal-to-authority mindset that got Democrats and the country into this situation in the first place. You shouldn’t care what party leaders say, you should care what the base and independent/marginal voters think! The polling is clear, Israel is DEEPLY unpopular.

First off, yes, she did make a public statement on Israel: jewishinsider.com/2025/07/esth.... There’s a link to this article on the track AIPAC page I clipped. Secondly, I really don’t see how any of those links are supposed to convince me she’s gucci.
California Democrat says anti-Israel extremism has ‘decimated the Democratic Party’
Esther Kim Varet, one of the Democratic challengers running against Rep. Young Kim (R-CA), is worried about her party’s growing tolerance of extremism

I just found the article again. It’s even worse than I recalled. It explicitly quotes her saying “anti-Israel extremism is decimating the party”. It’s an even more direct public statement on Israel.

Those are by-definition public statements and to say “well she wasn’t a candidate yet” or “this doesn’t mean she agrees with the war etc” is quite frankly naive. She said all of this DURING THE “WAR”. If she was actually against the war, she wouldn’t have been loudly denouncing the protests!
November 27, 2025 at 5:19 AM
Yes, she absolutely has. Earlier in the year one of the first search results of her name is a Jewish Insider article of her saying that she wants to rid the party of “antisemitism” and the examples she uses are almost exclusively protests against Israel and actively pro-Israel institutions.

I’m hoping X’s Botgate (idk what else to call it) will result in an accidental return of one-to-many media to relevance, podcasts being one such medium. Hopefully that happens before Musk realizes that the “based in” feature lopsidedly hurts fascists and turns it off.

….beat fascism back into the shadows, esp when you support fascism abroad. These pro-Israel Dems need to be pressured enough to moderate their extremist stance on Israel.
November 27, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Gonna be hard to get marginal voters in her district, which is 19% Asian, to support her when she’s so pro-Israel that she calls what is now the moderate position on Israel among voters “antisemitism”. Yeah sure, she’ll probably win by the skin of her teeth, but that’s not enough to….
November 27, 2025 at 2:30 AM
She’ll probably win by the skin of her teeth but it’s going to take more than nailbiters and close calls to beat fascism back into the shadows, and you especially can’t do that at the same time you support fascism elsewhere. This is the sort of hypocrisy marginal voters hate.

Pro-Israel, likely takes Israel lobby money based on that, although neither her campaign nor associated pacs have filed their first campaign finance disclosures yet. The age of Democratic grassroots excusing support for fascism, apartheid, and genocide abroad is over.

And you can bet there are RAM scalpers that have made the shortage even worse.

basically a trojan horse for panoptic totalitarianism, a fully automated surveillance state -- but with the the only real goal being wealth and power for a handful of oligarchs and their governing enablers.

No motivation to solve any actual societal problems.

part of the AI "race" is US vs China, but there it's less about model sophistication and more about implementation. The idea that the US falls behind if we can't ram it down everyone's throats and hand these companies the keys to large parts of our government and civil society.

The worst part is that DRAM manufacturers aren't planning on a massive increase in production to meet demand precisely BECAUSE of the fear of the AI bubble bursting. These are the same geniuses that inked a deal to feed the bubble.🫧
