A horrible short white haired twink with large round glaring black and mint green eyes, spiky lower lashes and pointy white teeth grins like a Labubu monster toy. He is dressed in black skinny jeans and boots and a black winter coat with black horn buttons and fluffy grayish teal trim at the hem , collar and sleeves at peacoat length, tailored almost like a winter dressy coat. He also wears a fishnet shirt and black plain choker and a black diamond earring. He is also wearing grayish mint green bunny-like ears made of the same fluffy green fleece on the coat. .. Off to the left side of the drawing are the words "Fran bein a Labubu" and some notes about the baby formula social experiment that women in the US and UK were calling churches and mosques for in November. I noted in my journal that mosques were able to oblige with helping a hypothetical starving 2 month old more often than most American or British rich megachurches, while a couple smaller churches including one in Appalachia was willing to help out.

Finally getting around to reading Lucky Penny and 🤣 the look on her face when she thinks she has cursed Walters car! + Enjoying the book light I got on Black Friday sale very much.
Pages 118 and 119 of the graphic novel Lucky Penny by Ananth Hirsch and Yuko Ota. The character Walter, who Penny has been dating, notices his car rolled into the lake and the towing company called him to retrieve it. He jumps into the lake in shock and grief eating after it. On the next page, Penny recounts that her critical fail role of a 1 on a D20 when she played dungeons and dragons with him and his younger siblings and friends the other day, and fashioned into a charm necklace with string and a paperclip, was hanging in his rearview mirror. She gave it to Walter "for luck" but realizes that because it was an unlucky role, that she feels as though she has cursed Walter's car with misfortune. Her eyes widen with guilt as she smokes her cigarette.

I guess it was part of a shelf at Fred Meyer , not Barnes and Noble. Just a bunch of books marked down because people weren't really reading them. I sometimes wonder if more people read them with a critical eye if we would have been able to avoid this whole mess.

Going through old images on my phone and under the "books" category from March 29, 2016 there's this very prescient arrangement from a book store.
Phone screenshot of my photo archive listing the day as March 29, 2016. Three books on a bookshelf include Rogue Lawyer, a novel by John Grisham, Crippled America by Donald Trump.. maybe (or ghostwritten by some guy who had to listen to trump ramble for a few hours) and Hitler's Last Days by Bill O Reilly. All of these have a round sticker on them indicating they were 25% off. I thought it was darkly comedic that a book about Trump was put on the shelf right next to a book about Hitler's final days, even back in early 2016.

I was thinking of this earlier today...
Text of the meme: Society if jobs had to factor in commute time as part of employee pay and compensation. Image of the meme is the futuristic cityscape illustration with a blue sky, green lawns and white and metallic round buildings, skyscrapers and flying bus-like vehicles. Purpose of the meme is I am partly joking about how much nicer and denser cities could be if jobs were required to pay people for their commute hours, because large corporations just might possibly be motivated to fund the building of closer affordable housing to jobs within 15-20 minutes from work by walking or public transit. It would be amusing to get suburban people and urban people to unite on something for once. Or jobs would alternatively just let people who live in the deep exurbs WORK FROM HOME instead of forcing people into the office and therefore into traffic when it's not necessary, which eats up people's life force and waking hours.

Had to draw a bit before bed. Trying to remember a dream from this morning where I briefly saw an image of a "clowncore spider" on some show or game. Didn't feel like coloring it but I was in like primary colors: red blue yellow, whit, pink, and orange. Maybe some other day I'll try again.

It's the middle of the day and it is SO dark!!! And peak glooming fall! It's the breezy end of a rain storm so it looks like it's 5pm out here at noon.

Visibility is 4.3 miles. So a little foggy and drizzly and the humidity is 92%. Total rain for the day was 0.34 inches and the wind is averaging 19 mph from the southwest. Pressure is 29.74 inHg, but I don't notice that metric so much, as my nose is congested and joints are achy already due to having a cold.

Okay this is actually hilarious. Why did Google decide that instead of letting the name of the timer alarm be either cutoff and scroll through, or just line break and go to a second line, that they would SHRINK all the text to fit it into the size of the card for the alarm?? 🤣😭

I set an alarm in Android for 30 minutes called "put laundry in dryer! Then get sewing kit for after work tomorrow" and they shrunk the text extremely small to fit the alarm title into the width of the alarm card in the User Interface, instead of letting the title have more than one line of text at the same font size, or cut off with dots and marquee scroll when selected. The result was so unexpected that it became funny.

I actually had a masque of the red death phase briefly in 2016. I even made a mask for my Halloween costume of it that year. Then I was compelled by the bit to watch the Inferno movie with Tim Hanks that year too. I think it was because everyone was freaked out about Ebola back then.

A kitchen table strewn with numerous loose papers of colorful doodles and drawings that never made it into my sketchbook back in 2015-2017. The character with the short rainbow hair and colorful outfits is an OC that I will give the nickname "Avvie" for now, while the one in the suit with white hair is Fr/n, but Fr/n himself doesn't actually appear in Avvie's series of stories ever. I just enjoyed drawing them interacting anyway since they sort of exist in a similar "place" in my fictional universe. It will be a task to add them back into a common place sketchbook tonight.

Korean kf94 masks work pretty well imo. I feel like they provide enough room around your mouth to talk, but can still form an OK seal around your nose. A lot of the models are ear-strap style tho, not head-strap, so if u want it secure but off ur ears, u can use one of those strap extender things.
Search results depicting the kf94 style face mask for mitigating spread of airborne droplets or helping reduce allergies. Search results of ear-saver strap extender device for face masks. Little hooks hold your mask behind your head, relieving tension off the backs of your ears. Some are fabric using buttons while others are a single silicone piece.

Damn I rarely looked closely at the washing instructions for some of my favorite sweats and like why are they so wholesome??

I found them because my pants have gotten some holes and I am contemplating whether to repair or retire. 😟
