While families scrambled to feed their kids during Republicans' govt shutdown, Trump and USDA were trying to silence SNAP workers like Ellen from speaking out.

This retaliatory firing is egregious and a violation of her right to free speech.

She must be reinstated immediately.

Trump's retaliatory firing of my constituent Ellen for exercising free speech is egregious & dangerous.

That’s why I’m fighting for Ellen & every federal worker unjustly fired.

USDA must immediately reinstate her & allow her to continue serving our communities and country.

Danny is a Marine veteran + a dedicated federal worker. Veterans make up about 30% of the federal workforce, & many public services provide healthcare + benefits for those who served our country. This Veterans Day, we recommit to serving those who’ve served us — with fairness, dignity, & respect.

Trump is forcing more hardship on federal workers + working families while dismantling the services we all rely on. Trump's shutdown - now the longest in U.S. history - withholds critical public services in favor of billionaire handouts. But federal workers are standing strong and holding the line.
As more than one million U.S. government employees go without pay, many are turning to side jobs and food banks to make ends meet. “We can only drain our savings for so long,” said one TSA officer.

The Trump administration deliberately chose to withhold food aid + healthcare hostage while spending billions on private jets, foreign deals & vanity projects. Federal workers + the American people are paying the price while Trump treats the federal budget like a slush fund. #supportfederalworkers
The government has been closed for a full month — and federal workers who have missed two paychecks are now using credit cards to pay their bills and visiting food pantries to stock their kitchens.
