Got the opportunity to visit the Shinhanga exhibit in Roma curated by professor Paola Scrolavezza.
I really enjoyed it even tho it was a bit small and there were little to no explicative panels. My boyfriend gave 5 stars to the experience as I «should really be a museum guide» lol

I don't think this is true for materialist historians who've done research on the 1920s and 1930s and seen in primary materials how fascism takes hold at first gradually, then very quickly, and suddenly all the norms and rules are gone and anything that the leader decrees is willed into existence.

I live in a city in which most of the local shops are property of few mafia families.
Everyday I have to choose between fueling a capitalistic dystopia or help horrendous people in bribing politicians and buying weapons to threat journalists.
I hate my country.

I’ve finished reading the last work of Dr. @eikeexner.com (it was amazing) and I couldn’t stop thinking about what my Chinese art professor said during her first lesson «We don’t say Chinese art, we say art in China». This concept really seemed fitting also for manga during the reading

Every Junji Ito anime adaptation showcases how comics aren't some throwaway stepping stone to animation and cinema, and that we should stop treating them as such. Comics, like prose novels, are their own medium that can convey things animation and video cannot.
