Was out for a trail run with friends tonight and an owl swooped out of nowhere and sliced open someone's ear with a talon. No sound other than the fellow shouting after. Huge owl.

The "her parents help her pay for childcare" attack is also insane to me. Yes, they covered some daycare bills which are several thousand month in Seattle. For most normal people that's a big deal. She is neither rich nor old and seemingly that disqualifies her for office.

Why should you 🫵🏿 care about SNAP? SNAP recipients saw:

- Improved life expectancy
- Lower chance of incarceration
- Lowers chance of poverty
- Lived in better neighborhoods
- Higher human capital

SNAP keeps our neighbors fed, communities safer, and kids educated. Also people are HUNGRY. DUH!

I've been near Seattle for 20-ish years and I think that pro sports are distracting money grabs by an oligarchic class but also I love seeing people happy and proud of where they live 🤷

I am in Seattle (ish) and have no real sports feels but thought it would be nice for the ever-woeful Ms to do a good for the first time 🤷

And does it taste like it sounds? Because most protein snacks actually taste like "hormble" like that's the sound I make when I chew them

In 2020 I felt there was a chance that bad things would end and the US would return to some semblance of a path towards justice and prosperity. I do not feel the same today.

In the US this takes the tenor of impassioned free speech arguments. In a lot of the rest of the world, having their governments regulate US tech corps is a rightful skepticism of US corporations and the US. They're right to have that.
