Baker. I ❤️ glutenin + gliaden. Minnesota launched, Seattle landed.
This is so fucking offensive. I can’t wait until these assholes are out of office. “Democrat-led shutdown,” ha. Your correct hyphenation doesn’t make it any more believable.

Poorly executed (screen printing mishap this morning due to haste) so I didn’t get the army of frogs I was going for, but…reign of frogs!

I was just thinking of Below the Belt! As I do any time the flag burning issue raises its sooty little head. I made a cake version last time.

You've inherited a movie theater, what's your first double feature?

I’d recreate a first date at the Grand theater: Harold and Maude and A Clockwork Orange. (College towns! The best!)

Our Regional Meat Sandwich choice this summer was the muffuletta. (Previous years: Philly-style roast pork, Chicago beef, and last August was lobster rolls).

25 years ago, I cut out this headline and mailed it to my now-husband. “In Madrid, There's No Such Thing as Too Much Ham.”

Still haven’t made that particular pilgrimage.

Sticker seen in a Minnesota parking lot this week.
I told my spouse, “You need Imperialist measures for that.”

Purrdinand wants to know if anyone’s still up. (He doesn’t *care*, but he’s curious)

I still remember Robbie Conal’s Artificial Art Official poster. I wonder if we can get permission to use a version of this (or something similar). @johncusack.bsky.social, are you up for reliving your youth? robbieconal.com/guerilla/gue...

Previous years’ success below. This year I candied orange, lemon, and yuzu lemon peel. I was so excited for the floral notes from the yuzu. #breadsky

I’ve been making Matt Tinder’s panettone for the past few years with astonishing success. This year I lost my mojo. Flew too close to the sun on wings of wax and butter. #breadsky

@chefjohn.bsky.social ‘s monkey bread with fresh cranberries! I have a very active panettone starter that’s currently fed 3x/day so I used I cup of starter discard instead of commercial yeast. I let the dough proof overnight before adding caramel sauce and baking. www.allrecipes.com/holiday-monk...
