With collective bargaining banned for so long in Virginia, @fcftunion.bsky.social’s Emily Vanderhoff said the biggest challenge was getting people to believe in a process they’d never experienced—while bargaining their first contract in just two months.

FCFT learned that our contracts will not be funded and we are being forced back to the bargaining table. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors failed us and the students and communities we serve.
