On this day in 1996 we lost Fleur Lombard QGM tragically in a fire aged just 21 years old. Fleur was the first woman firefighter to die in the line of duty in peacetime Britain. She will not be forgotten and be forever in our hearts. Rest in peace Sister. 💜💚🤍

🚨NEW: Research finds that 136 firefighters exposed to smoke at the Grenfell Tower fire are suffering from health disorders.

1 in 4 of the firefighters surveyed reported life changing diseases and health disorders.

We need health monitoring for firefighters now. 🧵

Firefighters deserve to be protected from exposure to toxic contaminants while saving lives.

The latest research found that 136 firefighters who attended the Grenfell Tower fire are suffering with diseases.

It is scandalous that UK firefighters do not already receive regular health monitoring.
