I thankfully don't have a mouse problem in my apartment, but for the last few days we've had a single mouse trapped in here (we think he got in through an open door when I was doing laundry). Did the lil fucker go into the catch-and-release trap I bought for him? No. Got stuck in my blinds instead 🤦

This is one nonsense lesson that haunted my group chat. The characters are making cookies with generic geometric cookie-cutters, and you need to choose a better, more interesting shape. There is nothing about the sentence that makes "lighter" (m) more correct than "shoe" (f) or "crocodile" (m).

I've been trying to quit Duolingo for a while now but it's been hard to overcome the compulsion and guilt of letting someone (who??) down. Anyway my last friend that did it with me quit it today so I set my account to delete and uninstalled the app. Finally. Fuck you, you stupid AI owl

This came up recently with a friend who shared a paper that noted a lot of its asexual subjects reported feeling detached from gender. If so much of how we treat other ppl is wrapped up in heteropatriarchal gender roles, makes sense that a lot of queer people feel ambivalent or outside those roles.

Brother and I are planning for the Music Fest this weekend and like, I understand why concerts only allow sealed plastic water bottles so they can be sure of contents, but they can't guarantee water stations? It's 7 hours from open to close each day and I have to make 1L of water last in summer?

The comments in the dashcam group are always wild. In what world is pressing the button to activate flashing lights not enough to show my intention to cross ?? The pedestrians in the video were (thankfully for them!) very cautious about stepping out.

No late fees Nova Scotia Power says it will not charge late fees on outstanding balances while bills are being estimated, even for customers who choose not to pay their bill while it is estimated. The company says it doesn't know how long bills will continue to be estimated, but it will notify customers when it has more information.

it's been awhile since I've been on this end of Hollis/Upper Water so I just noticed they finally put lights where I used to jaywalk and take my life into my own hands when I used to work downtown. feels good feels correct
