Caught up on Ultrakill until the next update. My opinion hasn't changed at all: It's still just fine, and I still find the gameplay overwhelming and stressful most of the time.

the best way to get out of an extrinsic game that you find yourself still playing despite disliking is to just force yourself to miss an event in-game. if you're the completionist type it's an extremely fast way to sever yourself from it

Finished my 1342nd game, Nine Sols. It was really quite good. It didn't impress me at first, but the second half of the game is a vast improvement, and the last few hours absolutely make the entire game. Check this one out if you're in the mood for a tough as nails metroidvania game.
