Hello, writers of Immersive Ink and random internet people. I am the author of The Weight of Legacy, an ongoing LitRPG serial fiction on Royal Road. My hobbies include watching the numbers go up, drawing poor impressions of medieval art, and craving the attention of the local cats.
The (friendliest) waves have once again reached the shore, and they left a chapter behind! 🌊🌊🌊

Chapter 62 - To Need, not Want - The Weight of Legacy
“You like foxes?” Adelheid asked the forester. “Oh! You’re the forest man, aren’t you? How old are you?” “We need it for the census,” Malwine explained. This should have explained everything the man n...

What the hell are you doing here, scribe from the Beuzaheim marriages? Malwine frowned, the memory of the name still fresh enough for her to recognize. This isn’t even the right context for you to be ...

The inexorable sea waits for no one! Let alone the plot. And as such, a new chapter has surfaced!

Chapter 60 - The Risks of Knowing - The Weight of Legacy
As disbelieving as she remained about the fact that she’d been making better gains on her Skills thanks to the assistance of an actual toddler, Malwine had been having a great month. Granted, she stil...

No thanks to the oh-so-funny youth who keeps giving the sea various facsimiles of fish made from inedible materials, we're 1.7k words away from reaching the Writathon word count ahead of schedule! The sea will be on its best behavior until this goal is met to accommodate the additional writing time.

Chapter 59 - Strike First, Ask Later - The Weight of Legacy
It was ultimately the clattering that awoke him—chess pieces hit the floor, scattering. He’d arranged them on opposing edges, given the repurposed table’s lack of a designated area for them. It hadn’t...

Whichever one of you gave the sea that ceramic fish as an offering, it wasn't funny. Fine, it was, but one of our sibyls broke their teeth trying to bite into it, and you know how much mana it'd cost to regrow those. Don't do it again. Keep your ceramic fish to yourself.

As a part of self promo, I made a post on Reddit to see if I can get more people reading my fiction. Will it work? Who knows.

I made an even worse ad this time. My ad-making skills are leveling up, I just know it.

I'd yet to link my fiction from Royal Road here, how woeful! It's a LitRPG 'comedy' with an MC who's in it for the long run, for better or worse. Volume 1 is complete!

Don't tell anyone over there, but I prefer to think the sea is secretly the main character.

Olá/Hi! I'm Malus, (not) famous writer and not sure what I'm doing with my life! This profile is, other than just chilling around here, to promote my original work: Isher Notra.

It's about a tween girl venturing through a forest of dangerous, hideous (or not) creatures, called the Monoke.

An unfortunate soul did what they should not, and you know how it goes, but they'd been carrying a welcome basket. We know not who it was intended for, but We shall gently set it afloat. Perhaps the hivemind might appreciate it, should it be encountered.

We have been informed the latest warning We sent out about steering clear of the shoreline for the month of The Rain was not heeded properly, and several cultivators suffered the consequences. This had led to an influx of complaints received by Our sibyls, but understand, caution is up to YOU.

That's it, I'm doing it. If you encounter the seaposts without context, I'm sorry, but this was meant to be.

If I start typing in-character as my fiction's sapient sea, would people grow concerned? Because, let me tell you, the urge is incredibly strong.

Yet another RR serial I like: Eldritch Guidance by Saberfang. It does use the playwright style for dialogue, which can take some getting used to, but its horror vibes are immaculate. It's a great take on the 'unaware protagonist dispenses eldritch horrors' shtick and all characters are interesting.

Another RR fiction I love is God Within Us by BigThink. It really gets that grimdark vibe going and the main characters' plotlines are just a marvel to go through, even when you find yourself questioning their actions. It's this marvelous blend of horror and fantasy that just works.

Next up on RR/KU books I like: The Faerie Knight by David Niemitz. The worldbuilding and ambience in that universe are some of the best I've seen and it really draws you in. Characters also have such a depth to them that you can't help but want to know more about who they are and how things will go.
