Dead Leaves
Letterboxd review reading: I remembered seeing part of this on a livestream over a decade ago and had to go back. For years I had this pegged as a Gainax production, but it turns out it was actually Production IG. This thing is an assault on all senses. It's so fast, so colorful, joke bits are happening nonstop, and there are so many shot changes and shifting colors that it can genuinely be hard to follow / look at. It's like the 2000s high contrast, angular, thick shadow, graffiti style taken to its absolute extreme. It's basically nonstop action and the animation department having an absolute blast doing their thing. The juvenile perv humor might lose you and the framing kinda loses the plot in places, but Dead Leaves moves so fast and has a short enough runtime that it's easy to look past. I also have to give props for the drill dick being so prominent and for a handful of extremely well placed cum jokes.
