And please hear me when I say that I don't mean any of this flippantly, or to minimize.

It's the defining feature of this regime, they want to inflict gratuitous violence on everyone who ever slighted them (or even seemed to). They take a grim pleasure in it.

It's an internet reality TV show custom-designed for the kind of dude who absolutely might refer to Eliot Rodger as "Saint Eliot."

There is a type that really gets off on this kind of shit.

They are getting their revenge on everyone who ever didn't treat them as God's golden little snowflake

And, finally, will you be able to truly love yourself when you are the person asking for accommodation? Is that part of what you're afraid of and why you're lashing out at having to confront these systems? You will never fix what's missing in caring for people by investing in punishing people.

The problem to be solved is the system. How do we make the system want to be as generous as our hearts are? How do we make the system stop denying that there is enough to go around? How do we make them stop lying? No, not the people asking for accommodation — the liars are the systems _denying_ it.

But in reality, we're all disabled. Maybe you're in a moment of respite from it, or in that brief window before the truth of the inevitability of it has been revealed to you (sorry, spoiler warning!), but it's true for all of us — even when it's not visible. So we must default to accommodation.

It's very hard to understand that everyone should just be accommodated. There's enough to go around, truly. You've been sold a story that we're all scrabbling for some finite resource, and They are taking it from you, and the answer to that taking is systemic punishment, backed by systemic violence.

Here's the thing, though: There's joy in also just doing the nice thing for people! Accommodating those who don't "need" it isn't Letting Them Get Away With It — it's just being nice! If you must, it's being generous to them. That's okay, you're a generous person! Let yourself be okay with that.
