After a searing loss, I returned to this poem many times. Sor Juana:

Just posted this yesterday. JFK’s words resonate.

President JFK, SOTU address, 1/31/61:
“Let it be clear that this administration recognizes the value of dissent and daring,
that we greet healthy controversy as the hallmark of healthy change.”

We must not ever forget what strong aspirational leadership is.

This poem is perfect. As is the longer “Manifesto: The Mad Farmer’s Liberation Front.” We’ve been talking lately in our resistance group that restoring democracy may take longer than the next election cycle, and we have to accept that we may not live to see it, but the work is still worth doing!

In “Through the Looking Glass” the White Queen (what a great nickname for DJT!) says she believes “six impossible things before breakfast.” No matter how many impossible things he throws, we won’t stop reminding him that we can’t get distracted. Also: resisters have Sharpies, too.

Is anyone else frustrated by stuff like this?
Tried to sign this ACLU petition/letter against the FL concentration camp, but apparently it doesn’t get accepted unless you allow their endless texts. I’m already inundated. When I un-checked the text option, my signature didn’t go through.
