We know the redemption must come. The time and the manner of its coming we know not: It may come in peace, or it may come in blood; but whether in peace or in blood, LET IT COME.

Happy Labor Day!
Thank you, unions, for this day.
Here’s a history lesson and song from one of the most significant strikes in American history. It was women’s movement and “the rising of the women is the rising of us all!”

I was born about 50 years, 364 and 21 hours ago.
Soon, I can’t say “I’m 50” and start stretching.
Thank goodness. It was an embarrassingly funny age.

From voter suppression to attacks on our history, we’re still confronting those who fear our power. Juneteenth isn’t just a commemoration—it’s a call to action. Our ancestors didn’t stop, and neither can we.

Of course this has no chance of passing the republican House but I’m so glad we’re talking about it and trying to do something.
One Michigan company pays its CEOs more than 1500% as much as the average worker. That’s unconscionable and somebody should stop that.

State Representative Dylan Wegela (D-Garden City) is seeking to limit the amount of money CEOs earn in the state of Michigan.

I just heard a republican type say “schools are doing a poor ass job, sorry there’s no other word for it.”
Abysmal is the first other word that comes to mind. Maybe speaker needs to school and learn more words. Even an abysmal school would teach him words like horrible, rotten, deplorable.

On the first #MemorialDay in 1865, freed Black people in Charleston gathered to honor Union soldiers who died fighting to end slavery. That legacy lives on. Today, we remember all who gave their lives in the fight for freedom, equality, and justice—at home and abroad.

Diversity promotes unit cohesion. If everyone is different, no one is isolated by difference.
Cohesion promotes honesty among members. I know people who came out as trans after military service because they couldn’t live a lie anymore.
We need trans service members when honesty is in short supply!
