oh, you know what might actually be a strangely good fit? cryptmaster is a crawler game and it's combat is still pretty cooldown-y, but all the moves are executed by typing out the word of the move instead of clicking from a menu. it's way more engaging in a way that's hard to describe.

Cryptmaster is a hilarious and inventive game; I highly recommend it.

I admit I did feel dumb playing it, though: remembering all the commands in the heat of battle was just too much for my smooth brain.

Meanwhile, you can load up Cryptmaster and have NPCs spout fully-voiced responses, (albeit very SIMPLE responses most of the time, but I digress,) to just about any inane bullshit you could possibly think to type at them.

SKILL. ISSUE.

(And if you haven't played Cryptmaster yet—consider doing that! It's great! You get absolutely golden moments like this one without any GenAI fuckery involved!)
