Evan Burger is working for the Bernie Sanders campaign in Iowa again. But this organizing isn't about the 2028 caucuses, or even mainly about the 2026 elections.

Millions marched today. In thousands of places. Bottom up organizing. Entirely organic. Zero astroturf. Many first-time protestors. Let that sink in. It matters.

A write-up in the local paper from my visit to Allen County, Kansas. Every person who subscribes to the local paper will see a progressive message on the front page of the paper.

People from 18 different counties showed up to the event. We make change when we show up in rural spaces.

Bison are pretty hard on an old bridge. Built in the 60s it's falling apart and the parks concerned in make it till they finish the new bridge, which is running behind schedule.

This herd likely weighs more than a line of cars and campers.

So much horrific news. But also yesterday, the oaks were leafing out and the grass was maximum green. The Bay Area dresses up in drag as Ireland this time every year, and happy St. Patrick's to all you anticolonialists and arborists.

IA Prof. Fire Fighters at the Capitol today.
Bad News: The reckless federal cuts have shut down the National Fire Academy. That means local fire fighters won’t get the training.

Just another example of how federal cuts are hurting Iowa to give billionaires more tax cuts.
